New documentary from Legendary Entertainment tells the tale of the 15-year-old Tetris prodigy
Legendary Entertainment has released a first look at its upcoming documentary, Blue Scuti: Tetris Crasher from director Chris Moukarbel.
Blue Scuti tells the tale of Stillwater, Oklahoma teen Willis Gibson who rose to prominence after becoming the first classic Tetris player to “beat” the game by making it crash at level 157 at just 13 years of age.
I still vividly remember thinking I “won” Tetris when Kid Icarus played the violin.
Gibson continues to turn heads since debuting on the competitive Tetris scene. He’s appeared on Good Morning America and in The New York Times among other outlets. He’s now considered one of the nation’s top players and has expressed interest in competing at other retro games.
Blue Scuti: Tetris Crasher will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City on June 11th.
